I made each bead by melting glass in a torch flame...

I just placed this beautiful bracelet in my shop...Stop by to see it here....https://handmadeartists/BrooklynBeadGoddess
I made all these beads myself by melting glass in a torch flame. This technique is called lampwork (or flamework) and takes patience and skill. I've used cream, turquoise, coral and purple glass. Swarovski crystals and sterling silver embellishments. Fancy sterling silver toggle clasp closure.

Custom Order. Handcrafted Glass Lampwork Beads

I've just finished this Special Order. Lovely shades of transparent purples and opaque purples were used when I made these glass beads.
I usually don't enjoy using the same colors in a session at the torch. But this project was different. I thought about the person who will be receiving this for her birthday while I was designing each bead. Handmade with thought and love~
I must admit this is a beautiful piece of art...I'm so pleased with the results...

Pathways to Consciousness was fortunate to have as guest speaker: Dr Stewart Bitkoff

I found out about a lecture being offered by Dr Stewart Bitkoff from the site called MeetUps Group. It sounded interesting to me. Never heard of him or read his books, but for some reason, I went to hear what he had to say.
I loved it. Got inspired, informed and enlightened and met some cool people too.

From A Commuter’s Guide to Enlightenment
For years, Dr. Stewart Bitkoff suffered through every traffic jam, flat tire, and rude driver that marred his long commute to New York City . . . until he discovered how to transform this soul-draining journey into one filled with divine lessons and meaning. Blending spiritual wisdom with his own astute life observations from the road, Dr. Bitkoff teaches readers how to live in the present and find joy in ordinary moments. His personal stories draw insightful parallels between the “road of life” and one’s spiritual path. Meditations, tips, exercises, and prayers will help you shut off shallow concerns, center yourself, and open up to a higher consciousness. Whether you’re a stockbroker, a student, or a soccer mom, this guide will show you how to find tranquility during life’s most stressful and tiresome activities.

He is the author of several additional titles including A Commuter’s Guide to Enlightenment, Journey of Light Trilogy and his most recent book, The Ferryman’s Dream.

You can check out his books at:
