I do this too when new blooms show in my yard! It is fun to see the result. I can never tell how the photo looks when outside with the lighting. So it is always a surprise when I load the photos on the computer! I end up appreciating each flower more when taking macros of them.

I use macro setting on my camera quite a bit too. Jealous that your daffs are blooming, mine are day or two from opening. Can't wait for the reveal this weekend :).
