Blooming Sunflower

Isn't this spectacular?
I didn't even plant it. A bird must have dropped it in my garden! Thank you!

Sterling silver, turquoise and ivory. It's a beautiful combination.

One of my favorite bracelets sold this weekend. The colors blend together with a calming effect.  Thank you Wendy !  Have fun wearing it ~

Step by step pics of me making a glass bead

I took these pics yesterday, while I made some Glass Beads !

The blob of hot glass is 'wound' onto the steel rod while rotating it around. This makes the hot glass round and makes a round bead.

I've added a thin white design with the Stringer Rod of glass. It goes into the kiln now.

Glass Beads finished!

I've been working on this piece for weeks and I'm happy with the results. Each glass bead is made one at a time in a torch flame AND the weather has been very hot lately. I usually made about 5 beads in one session. These designs have layers of colors, pressed down flat, then more designs on top of them.
I imagined the beach and flowers when I created these beads.
